Good duel expected in Grade 1 Paddock Stakes
Published by charl on January 9, 2010
TRAINER Mike Bass has confidently tipped the Pocket Power-River Jetez double on his website, mikebassracing.com, but Gauteng’s Mike de Kock is raiding with Mother Russia and has promised on mikedekockracing.com to “give River Jetez a run for her money” in the Grade 1 TBA Paddock Stakes at Kenilworth on Saturday.
“River Jetez will be walking out of her stable to race today, but Mother Russia travelled well and she’s in good shape. She’s a tough filly and we’re expecting a big run.”
With the meeting at Turffontein (at 9am unoficially abandoned as there hasn’t been a press release or an sms from the course), the focus will be on the quality meeting at Kenilworth today.
Photo: Mother Russia (in her old white silks), beats River Jetez (head showing) in the Golden Bracelet. but chances are we’ll see a reverse result today.
